Original Equipment Parts and Replacement Considerations
The Atlas Copco gear set is a core component. It is recommended to preferentially use original equipment parts . The advantages of using original equipment parts are as follows:
It perfectly matches the parameters of the main unit and the motor, ensuring transmission efficiency
The material and processing accuracy meet strict standards, and the lifespan can reach 8-150,000 hours
If alternative parts are chosen, the gear module, tooth count, tooth profile , center distance, etc. must be strictly verified to avoid operational failures due to size deviations.
In summary, the Atlas Copco air compressor gear set, with its high-precision design and high-quality materials, ensures efficient transmission of the equipment. However, it is necessary to conduct regular maintenance to extend its service life and avoid the entire machine stopping due to gear failures.
Maintenance and Common Issues of 40°C Thermostat for Atlas Copco Air Compressors
Regular Calibration: After long-term use, temperature drift may occur. It is recommended to calibrate with a thermometer annually to ensure accurate triggering at 40°C.
Cleaning and Maintenance: If the sensing part is covered with oil or dust, it will affect the sensitivity of temperature measurement. It is necessary to wipe it regularly (operate in power-off state).
Common Faults:
Temperature Trigger Deviation: This may be due to the aging of the sensing element. Replacement of the same model thermostat is required.
Contact Adhesion: Causes the cooling equipment to run continuously or fail to start. Check the contact condition and replace it if necessary.
Key Points for Bolt Installation and Maintenance of Atlas Copco
Pre-tightening Torque: Appropriate torque should be applied according to the bolt's strength grade and connection requirements . Excessive torque can cause the bolt to break, while insufficient torque may result in poor sealing or loosening.
Surface Treatment: The bolt surface is usually galvanized, phosphated , or oxidized . Before installation, check the surface for rust or damage.
Cooperation Precision: The cooperation between the bolt and the nut or the bolt hole must comply with standards . Avoid overly loose or overly tight threads.
Regular Inspection: After the air compressor has been running for a period of time, check if the bolts are loose. If rust, deformation, or fracture is found, replace the bolts of the same specification and strength in a timely manner.
Maintenance suggestions for the sliding sealing components of Atlas Copco air compressors:
Regularly inspect the wear condition of the sealing parts (such as the opening gap of the piston ring, the leakage volume of the piston rod seal);
Atlas Copco Ensure the normal operation of the lubrication system (oil mist lubrication or solid lubricant in no-oil conditions);
Atlas Copco Filter the intake air (reduce dust and other impurities);
When replacing the sealing parts, select the model and material that match the working conditions and ensure the installation accuracy.
Atlas Copco Air Compressor Pressure Valve Cover Plate Daily Maintenance:
Regularly inspect the cover plate for any looseness, deformation or cracks. If the bolts are loose, they must be tightened promptly. If there are cracks, the cover plate must be replaced.
Check for any air leakage traces at the joint. If there is leakage, disassemble and inspect the seals to see if they are aged or damaged. In necessary cases, replace the seals and reinstall them.
When maintaining the internal components of the pressure valve , be careful when removing the cover plate to avoid excessive force causing the cover plate to deform or the bolts to slip.
Although the pressure valve cover plate is a structural component, its sealing performance and pressure-bearing capacity directly affect the control accuracy and system safety of the pressure valve. During installation, ensure reliable sealing.
Atlas Copco Gear Trial Run and Inspection
Preliminary Inspection
Manually rotate the gear shaft to feel if the rotation is smooth, and check for any sticking, abnormal noise or eccentric vibration.
Check if the lubrication path in the gearbox is unobstructed, and add gear oil to the standard level as per the regulations.
No-load Trial Run
Connect the power supply and conduct a short-term (5-10 minutes) no-load operation. Listen for any abnormal noises (such as metal friction sounds, high-frequency squeals) from the gearbox.
After stopping the machine, check the temperatures of the bearings and gears (should not exceed the ambient temperature by 40°C), and observe for any oil leakage.
Load Test
Gradually load to the rated pressure and run for more than 30 minutes. Recheck the noise, temperature and sealing conditions, and confirm there are no abnormalities.
