The O-ring is mainly used in air pumps for pipe interfaces, valves, cylinder bodies and end caps, playing a role in preventing air leakage and blocking the penetration of lubricating oil. Its features include:
Material compatibility: Usually made of nitrile rubber (NBR), it has good oil resistance and wear resistance, suitable for most compressor oils; if the equipment is in a high-temperature or special medium environment, fluororubber (FKM) material may be used, with better temperature resistance and chemical stability.
Size accuracy: It needs to be strictly matched with the interface size. Common parameters include inner diameter (ID) and cross-sectional diameter (CS), such as 10×2.4, 15×3.1 (units: mm).
Selection tips
Confirm the specific model: Different models of air pumps correspond to different specifications of O-rings. It is recommended to provide the complete model of the compressor (such as including series, power, etc.) or the component number of the air pump to the supplier for precise matching.
Check the parameters of used parts: If the worn O-ring is available, measure its inner diameter and cross-sectional diameter, and observe the material (usually marked, such as NBR, FKM), as a reference for selection.
Choose from official channels: Preferentially purchase the original seals from Atlas Copco's official after-sales service or authorized dealers, or choose brand accessories that meet their technical standards to avoid seal failure due to size deviation or non-compliant material.
