2901056300 Automatic Drain Valve Kit for ATLAS COPCO AIR COMPRESSOR ORIGINAL PARTS air Compressor Parts
Main Components and Working Principle
Core Components: Typically include valve body, valve core (or diaphragm), electromagnetic valve (electric type), float ball (mechanical type), drainage outlet, filter screen, and sealing parts, etc.
Working Principle:
Mechanical Type (Float Ball Type): When the accumulated condensate water reaches a certain liquid level, the float rises and drives the valve core to open, allowing the water to drain out. After the water drains, the float falls and closes the valve, achieving automatic drainage.
Electric Type (Electromagnetic Valve): The system is triggered by the control system to activate the electromagnetic valve at regular intervals, opening the drainage outlet to drain water, and closing the valve after the set time, achieving automatic drainage through time control.
Combined Type: Some models combine mechanical and electric principles to enhance drainage reliability.
Key Functions and Application Locations
Automatic Drainage: No need for manual operation, promptly discharging the condensate water (containing oil, water, and mixed impurities) from the compressed air, ensuring the quality of the compressed air.
Anti-leakage Design: During drainage, only liquid is discharged, minimizing the loss of compressed air and reducing energy consumption.
Application Locations:
Bottom of the air compressor storage tank
Outlet of the primary/secondary oil-water separator
Drainage outlet of the refrigerated or adsorption type dryer
Bottom of the filter (such as precision filter, activated carbon filter)
Technical Features
High Reliability: Tolerates the pressure (usually 0~16 bar) and temperature (environmental temperature~60℃) of the compressed air system, adapting to humid and oily working conditions.
Low Maintenance Requirements: The built-in filter screen prevents impurities from blocking the valve core, and some models have self-cleaning functions.
Versatile Compatibility: Available in different interface sizes (such as 1/4" and 3/8" threads) and installation methods (vertical, horizontal), suitable for various models (such as GA, GX, G series, etc.).
Environmental Design: Reduces the labor intensity of manual drainage and avoids environmental pollution caused by the random discharge of condensate water.
Common Faults and Replacement Maintenance
Fault Manifestations:
Poor drainage or complete blockage (condensate water cannot be discharged, liquid level rises).
Leakage due to poor valve closure (system pressure drops, energy consumption increases).
Electromagnetic Valve does not act (electric type) or float ball is stuck (mechanical type).
Common Causes:
Impurities blocking the valve core or filter screen (such as oil stains, metal debris).
Sealing parts aging or wear (causing leakage).
Electromagnetic valve coil burned out or line failure (electric type).
