1622055900=1622657000=1622513000 Block for Atlas Copco Screw Air Compressor Oil Filter Housing
The main functions of the oil filter housing of Atlas Copco screw-type air compressor
Filter element support and sealing: Provides a mounting base for the filter element, ensuring a tight fit between the filter element and the housing through the built-in seals (such as O-rings), preventing unfiltered lubricating oil from bypassing.
Lubricating oil filtration channel: Guides the lubricating oil from the inlet of the housing, flows through the filter element for filtration, and then exits from the outlet, removing impurities, metal debris and carbon deposits from the oil, protecting key components such as the main rotor and bearings.
Pressure protection: Some housing modules integrate a bypass valve. When the filter element gets clogged and the pressure difference exceeds the set value, the bypass valve automatically opens to ensure the continuous circulation of lubricating oil (although not filtered, it avoids oil loss and equipment damage).
Structural protection: The housing is made of pressure-resistant materials to protect the internal filter element from external mechanical impact and adapt to the oil temperature (usually 80-100°C) and oil pressure environment during compressor operation.
Structure and material
Structural composition: Generally includes the housing body, filter element installation interface (with threads or snap-fit), inlet/outlet oil ports, sealing groove (for O-rings), bypass valve (integrated), and drain port (for some models).
Material characteristics: The main body is usually cast iron or high-strength engineering plastic (for lightweight models), with the surface treated for corrosion resistance (such as painting or electroplating), resistant to oil, high temperature and aging.
Specification compatibility: The dimensions and interface specifications (thread type, inlet/outlet oil port diameter) of different models (such as GA series, G series, etc.) are different, and they need to be matched with the corresponding model of oil filter filter element.
Common problems and maintenance
Leakage problems:
Reasons: Aging and damage of seals, improper installation of the filter element, wear or deformation of the housing threads.
Treatment: Replace the original O-rings, ensure the correct installation of the filter element, check if the housing threads are intact, and replace the housing if necessary.
Bypass valve failure:
Signs: Filter element clogged but no alarm, lubricating oil not effectively filtered, resulting in rapid deterioration of oil quality.
Treatment: Check if the bypass valve is stuck or the spring is Failure.
Shell damage:
Reasons: Material fatigue under long-term high-temperature and high-pressure conditions, cracking due to uneven force during installation, external collision.
Treatment: Once cracks or severe deformation occur, immediately replace the original shell module of the housing, to avoid lubricating oil leakage and equipment failure.
