Original Atlas Copco Air Compressor 2202929400 Oil Separator
Model:2202929400
First separation: The oil-gas mixture containing various-sized oil droplets, which comes out from the exhaust port of the air compressor main unit, enters the oil-gas tank. Most of the oil in the oil-gas mixture falls to the bottom of the tank under the action of centrifugal force and gravity.
Second separation: The compressed air containing oil mist (particles with a diameter of 1 micron or less) passes through the micrometer and fiberglass filter material layers of the oil-gas separation filter element for secondary separation. The oil particles undergo mechanisms such as diffusion, direct interception, and inertial collision aggregation, causing the suspended oil particles in the compressed air to quickly coalesce into large oil droplets. Under the action of gravity, the oil gathers at the bottom of the oil separation element and returns to the main lubricating oil system through the bottom concave area of the secondary return oil pipe inlet, thereby enabling the air compressor to discharge more pure and oil-free compressed air.
Shell: Generally made of metal materials such as carbon steel or stainless steel, it has sufficient strength and sealing performance, capable of withstanding the pressure generated during the operation of the air compressor, and protecting the internal components.
Separation filter element: It is the core component of the oil separator, usually composed of multiple layers of different materials, such as borosilicate glass fibers, polyester synthetic fibers, etc., used to filter oil mist particles in the oil-gas mixture.
Return oil pipe: It is used to transport the separated oil back to the lubrication system of the air compressor, achieving the recycling and reuse of lubricating oil, ensuring the normal operation of the lubrication and cooling functions of the air compressor.
Pressure maintaining valve: Installed at the outlet of the oil separator, its function is to maintain the pressure stability in the oil separator, ensure the separation effect, and prevent the compressed air from flowing back.
Automatic drainage valve: Used to regularly discharge the condensed water and impurities accumulated at the bottom of the oil separator to prevent their impact on the separation effect and damage to downstream equipment.
Maintenance and servicing
Regularly replace the filter element: Generally, every 3,500 - 8,000 hours of operation or according to the actual usage situation, when the pressure difference of the oil separator reaches 0.8 - 1.0 bar, the separation filter element needs to be replaced to ensure the separation effect.
Check the sealing parts: Check whether the sealing parts of the oil separator are aged or damaged. If there is leakage, replace the sealing parts in time to prevent oil and gas leakage.
Clean the internal components: Regularly open the oil separator to clean the oil stains, impurities and carbon deposits inside, maintaining the cleanliness of the internal components to ensure that the separation effect is not affected.
Check the drainage valve: Check whether the automatic drainage valve is working normally. If there is blockage or malfunction, clean or replace it in time to avoid the accumulation of condensed water in the oil separator.
