Common Misconceptions and Risks
Replacing only the oil but not the filter: Impurities accumulate, accelerating wear and clogging.
Overdue use: Increased pressure difference leads to higher energy consumption and an increased risk of filter damage.
Installation too tightly: May cause the base to deform or make future disassembly difficult.
Key points for replacement and maintenance:
When replacing, the oil separator filter element should be replaced simultaneously. Also, check if the sealing gasket is aged. If necessary, replace it together to ensure a proper seal.
Before installation, clean the oil stains and impurities on the interface surface. Tighten according to the specified torque to avoid over-tightening which may cause the shell to deform or under-tightening which may lead to leakage.
Regularly (usually in accordance with the filter element replacement cycle, approximately 2000-4000 hours) check if there are any cracks, corrosion or deformation in the shell. Replace it promptly if any abnormalities are found.
Strict model matching: Different series of Atlas Copco air compressors (such as fixed type, mobile type, screw type, etc.) may require different specifications of coolant. Please select the corresponding original factory coolant based on the specific model of the equipment (such as GA75, XAS186, etc.). For example, some models use long-lasting coolant, with a replacement cycle of up to 8,000 - 10,000 hours. It is not allowed to mix this coolant with other brands or types of coolant at will.
Replacement Precautions
Before installation, clean the oil stains and impurities on the interface surface to avoid scratching the sealing ring.
Ensure a proper installation to avoid distortion or excessive stretching, which may affect the sealing effect.
It is recommended to conduct regular checks and replace it in a timely manner according to the usage environment (such as humidity, temperature, and medium). Generally, it is advisable to replace it synchronously with the equipment maintenance cycle.
Note the installation requirements: When replacing the coupling components, follow the equipment specifications to ensure that the coaxiality and other installation parameters meet the standards, and avoid secondary damage.
Replacement and Maintenance Precautions
If the components show signs of aging and cracking of the hose, leakage at the joints, damage to the reinforcement layer, or bulging, they must be replaced immediately to prevent leakage of high-pressure media, which could cause safety hazards or affect system operation;
When replacing, it is essential to use the original Fx1050Xf type components to ensure that their dimensions, pressure resistance level, and joint sealing are consistent with the original components. Non-original components may cause installation difficulties or premature damage due to poor compatibility;
During installation, pay attention to the bending radius of the hose (it must not be less than the specified value, usually 6-8 times the diameter of the hose), avoid excessive twisting or stretching, and keep away from high-temperature components and rotating parts. If necessary, use pipe clamps for fixation to reduce vibration and wear.
