Main functions and structural features

Core function: As the installation container for the oil separator filter element, it provides space for the separation of compressed air and lubricating oil, and can withstand the pressure within the system to ensure that the compressed air after separation meets the cleanliness standards (typically residual oil content ≤ 3 ppm).

Structural design:

It is usually a cylindrical or bowl-shaped metal shell (aluminum alloy or high-strength steel), with good pressure resistance (suitable for the working pressure of the air compressor).

The top is equipped with a compressed air inlet and outlet, and the bottom is generally equipped with an oil discharge valve (used to discharge the separated lubricating oil back to the system).

It is sealed with a dedicated sealing ring between the filter element to prevent un-separated oil and gas from directly short-circuiting out.

Applicable models: Widely used in Atlas Copco's GA, GX, GD and other series screw-type air compressors. Different models of air compressors correspond to different sizes and pressure grades of oil separator bowls.

Selection and replacement precautions

Precise matching model:

It is necessary to provide the complete model of the air compressor (such as GA75VSD, GX11, etc.) and the factory serial number, or directly refer to the component number in the equipment manual (such as Atlas Copco's material number) to ensure that the size, interface and pressure resistance level are completely matched.

Pay attention to distinguish the differences between different power models to avoid assembly failure or seal failure due to incompatible installation dimensions.

Choose original accessories:

Prioritize through Atlas Copco's distributors purchase original oil separator bowls, whose material strength, sealing accuracy and pressure resistance performance all meet the original factory standards, can ensure the separation efficiency and safe operation of the equipment.

Non-original products may have problems such as insufficient material strength, size deviation, etc., which may lead to pressure leakage, decreased separation effect, and even equipment failure.
