Original atlas copco1837003986 DRYER KIT FOR Air compressor
The main components of the Atlas Copco adsorption dryer (such as the DD/CD series) are:
Dual adsorption towers
The core components are usually two parallel pressure-resistant towers, filled with high-performance adsorbents (such as molecular sieves, activated alumina), alternating between adsorption (drying compressed air) and regeneration (removing moisture), ensuring continuous air supply.
Control valve group
Includes solenoid valves, pneumatic valves, etc., which are Cooperation by the control system to precisely control the switching of the adsorption towers, regeneration exhaust, pressure increase, etc., ensuring the dryer operates in a closed loop.
Regeneration system
Atlas Copco heater (for some models): used for the heating element in "hot regeneration", providing heat for the regeneration of the adsorbents (such as electric heaters), improving the regeneration efficiency.
Throttle valve / flowmeter: controls the flow and pressure of the regeneration gas, ensuring the regeneration effect while reducing air compression loss.
Exhaust muffler
Installed at the regeneration exhaust port, it reduces exhaust noise and meets environmental protection requirements.
Filter
Pre-filter (removing oil, dust) and post-filter (removing dust from the adsorbent), protecting the adsorbent and improving the quality of the outlet air. Control system
It includes PLC controllers, touch screens (for some models), sensors (pressure, temperature), etc., to achieve automatic operation, status monitoring and fault alarm.
Drainage device
It discharges the condensate water generated during the regeneration process of the adsorption tower.
II. Components of the refrigeration dryer (such as FD series)
Pre-cooler / Evaporator
Usually an efficient plate heat exchanger. The pre-cooler is used to recover the cold air heat and reduce the intake air temperature; the evaporator directly cools the compressed air through the refrigerant, causing water vapor to condense.
Refrigeration compressor
The core of the refrigeration system, using an efficient compressor (such as vortex type), to provide continuous cooling capacity.
Condenser
It is either air-cooled or water-cooled, converting the refrigerant from gaseous to liquid state and releasing heat.
Expansion valve / Capillary tube
Controls the refrigerant flow and pressure reduction, ensuring efficient evaporation and heat absorption of the refrigerant in the evaporator.
Air-water separator
Separates the liquid water generated after the compressed air cools, usually using centrifugal or baffle design.
Automatic drainage device
It discharges the condensate water collected by the separator, mostly electronic or float type, ensuring thorough drainage and no leakage of compressed air.
Filter
Pre-filter (oil and dust removal) protects the dryer, and some models contain a post-filter for further air purification. Control system
It includes temperature controllers, pressure switches, indicator lights, etc., for monitoring the temperature and pressure of the refrigeration system, and achieving automatic start-stop and fault protection.
III. General Auxiliary Components
Pressure gauge / thermometer: Displays the inlet and outlet pressure and temperature in real time, facilitating operation monitoring.
Safety valve: Automatically releases pressure when the system pressure exceeds the limit, ensuring equipment safety.
Base / frame: Integrates all components for easy installation and maintenance.
