1089955603 Atlas Copco Air compressor AIR INLET WITH FILTER
The main functions of Atlas Copco AIR INLET WITH FILTER
Filtering impurities: It intercepts solid impurities such as dust, sand particles, and metal particles in the air (usually able to filter out particles ≥ 1-5 μm), preventing these impurities from entering the compressor and avoiding wear or scratches on precision components such as cylinders, pistons, and bearings.
Initial water removal: Some air intake filters have moisture-proof or drainage design, which can reduce the amount of moisture in the air and lower the corrosion risk of condensate water on the system after compression.
Stable air intake: Through reasonable structural design, it ensures smooth air intake, reduces air resistance, and avoids a decrease in the efficiency of the air compressor due to insufficient air intake.
Common structural components
Filter element: The core part, mostly uses paper filter cores, sponge, metal mesh or composite materials, which intercept impurities through pores. Some high-efficiency filter elements also have certain adsorption capabilities.
Shell: Protects the filter element, usually made of metal or high-strength plastic, with an air intake and outlet, and some have a protective cover to prevent external mechanical damage.
Pressure difference indicator: Some high-end filters are equipped with this device. When the filter element is clogged to a certain extent (resistance exceeds the set value), it will give a reminder to prompt the replacement of the filter element.
Drainage device: A few air intake filters have a simple drainage valve at the bottom, which can discharge the condensed water retained during the filtration process.
Maintenance points
Regular inspection and cleaning: According to the usage environment (such as workshops with a lot of dust, outdoors, etc.), regularly check the filter element. It can be cleaned by blowing compressed air from the inner side to the outside to remove the dust attached to the surface, extending the service life.
Timely replacement of filter element: When the filter element is damaged, clogged severely (such as a significant increase in suction resistance, a decrease in air compressor exhaust volume), or reaches the specified replacement cycle, a new filter element must be replaced to avoid impurities "penetrating" through the filter element into the system.
Check sealing performance: When installing or replacing the filter element, ensure that the sealing surface of the shell and the filter element are tightly attached to prevent unfiltered air from directly entering the air compressor through gaps.
Protect the air intake environment: The air intake should be away from dust sources, cooking fumes, water vapor, and high-temperature areas (such as boilers, cooling towers nearby). If necessary, extend the air intake pipe to a clean air area.
