Atlas Copco Air Compressor Spare Parts 8092372294 Drive Set GA15VSD+ CONN
The drive components of the Atlas Copco GA15VSD screw air compressor, one of the core components of the drive system, are designed around the variable frequency drive system to accommodate its variable speed control function. They mainly consist of:
Variable frequency motor
As the power source, it uses an efficient asynchronous motor or permanent magnet synchronous motor (depending on the specific configuration), with a wide range of speed regulation capabilities (typically 30-100Hz), which can automatically adjust the speed according to the gas consumption to achieve energy-saving operation.
Features: The protection level is usually IP55, the insulation class is F grade, suitable for the continuous operation conditions of the compressor, and has low vibration and low noise.
Motor bracket / base
Used to fix the motor, it adopts a rigid structure design to reduce the vibration transmission during operation, while ensuring the coaxiality between the motor and the main unit, avoiding power transmission loss.
Drive belt / coupling (depending on the model)
V-belt drive: Some GA15VSD models use efficient V-belts or synchronous belts, which transfer the motor power to the main unit through pulleys, providing a buffering and shock-absorbing effect. Regular checks are required for the tension and wear of the belt.
Coupling drive: Some high-end models may use elastic couplings, directly connecting the motor to the main unit, with higher transmission efficiency and simpler maintenance, but strict installation coaxiality requirements are necessary.
Pulley / flywheel
Matched with the motor shaft, the main unit shaft, and the belt wheel / coupling, through reasonable speed ratio design, converting the motor speed to the suitable speed for the compressor's compression requirements. Usually made of high-strength cast iron or aluminum alloy to ensure stable dynamic balance.
II. Main types of connection components
Connection components are used for mechanical connection and power transmission between various components of the drive system, ensuring assembly accuracy and operational stability, mainly including:
Shaft sleeve and key
Used for connecting the motor shaft, main unit shaft, and belt wheel / coupling, transmitting torque, usually made of wear-resistant steel, with precise tolerance design to prevent slipping or loosening.
Fastening bolts and nuts
Including high-strength bolts for fixing the motor, belt wheel, and coupling, usually with anti-loosening design (such as self-locking nuts or anti-loosening glue), to avoid loosening due to vibration.
Tension adjustment parts for belts / coupling
Such as adjusting screws, sliders, etc., used to precisely adjust the position of the motor to ensure the appropriate tension of the belt (too loose is prone to slipping, too tight will increase the load on the bearings).
Protective cover connection components
Fixing the protective cover of the drive system, including clips, screws, etc., to ensure safety during operation and prevent foreign objects from entering or personnel from contacting rotating parts.
III. Maintenance and replacement points
Regular inspection
Check the belt tension (with the finger pressing the middle of the belt sinking 10-15mm is appropriate) or the wear of the elastic components of the coupling monthly, and check the tightening status of the connection components every month to avoid loosening.
After 1000-2000 hours of operation, check the temperature rise of the motor bearings (should not exceed the ambient temperature by 40℃), and replenish lubricating grease if necessary.
