1625390494 Atlas Copco screw air compressor Replacement of air compressor oil separator filter
I. Replacement cycle of the oil separation filter for Atlas Copco screw air compressors
Under normal operating conditions, it is recommended to replace the oil separation filter every 2,000 - 4,000 hours (refer to the equipment manual for specific details).
If the operating environment has a lot of dust, high humidity, or the lubricating oil quality deteriorates rapidly, the replacement cycle should be shortened.
When the compressed air contains excessive oil (there is oil streaks at the gas inlet) or the pressure difference of the oil separator exceeds 0.15 MPa (1.5 bar), the filter should be replaced immediately.
II. Preparations before replacement
Tools and materials: Prepare the corresponding original factory oil separation core (must match the air compressor model, such as GA, ZR series, etc.), new sealing gasket (O-ring), wrench, rag, container for collecting waste oil.
Safety operation:
Stop the machine and cut off the main power supply, hang a "Maintenance in Progress" warning sign.
Wait for the unit to cool down to normal temperature, release the pressure in the oil separator tank (open the discharge valve or pressure release valve).
III. Replacement steps
Remove the old oil separation core:
Remove the cover or fixing bolts on the top of the oil separator tank (for some models, it is necessary to first remove the return oil pipe, pressure sensor, etc.).
Use a wrench to unscrew the old oil separation core (operate slowly to avoid splashing residual oil), and place it in the waste oil container.
Clean the residual oil and impurities in the tank, check if there is rust or damage on the inner wall of the tank, and if necessary, clean or repair it.
Install the new oil separation core:
Check if the sealing surface of the new oil separation core is intact, replace the new sealing gasket (apply a small amount of clean lubricating oil to assist the seal).
Tighten the new oil separation core according to the specified torque (refer to the equipment manual, usually 30 - 50 N·m), avoid loose resulting in air leakage or tight resulting in damage to the threads.
Reinstall the return oil pipe, pressure sensor, etc., ensure a firm and reliable connection.
Reset and inspection:
Close the discharge valve, cover the oil separator tank cover and fix it.
Connect the power supply, start the air compressor, observe if the operating pressure is normal, check if there is any air leakage or oil leakage at the installation position of the oil separation core.
Run for 10 - 15 minutes, then check the pressure difference again (the initial normal pressure difference should be ≤ 0.03 MPa), confirm no abnormalities before completing the replacement.
