1092116460 Atlas Copco Compressor Parts Tubular Cooler

The core functions of the tubular cooler in Atlas Copco compressors

Cooling of compressed air

Cooling the hot compressed air discharged by the compressor to reduce its temperature to the normal operating range of the equipment (usually cooling to the ambient temperature + 10~15℃), avoiding damage to downstream pipelines, dryers, etc. caused by the high temperature of the compressed air, and reducing the condensate separation load in the air.

Cooling of lubricating oil

In screw compressors with oil injection, the tubular cooler can cool the lubricating oil that has heated up after participating in the compression process, ensuring that the lubricating oil maintains good viscosity and lubrication performance, and avoiding deterioration of the oil quality and lubrication failure due to excessively high oil temperature.

System temperature control

Maintaining the temperature balance of the compressor main unit and the oil circuit system through stable heat dissipation capacity, preventing the equipment from triggering protection and stopping due to overheating, and ensuring the stability of continuous operation.

Structural and performance features

Efficient heat exchange design: Using a multi-tubular structure (usually copper alloy or stainless steel heat exchange tubes), with cooling medium and cooled medium (compressed air / lubricating oil) flowing inside and outside the tubes respectively. By increasing the contact area and using turbulent design, the heat exchange efficiency is improved.

Strong corrosion resistance: The heat exchange tubes and the shell are made of corrosion-resistant materials (such as copper-nickel alloy, stainless steel), suitable for different cooling water qualities (such as industrial water, softened water) or environments, and extending the service life.

Compact structure: Modular design, small in volume and light in weight, suitable for the layout of the entire compressor, facilitating installation and maintenance.

Anti-scaling ability: Some models adopt special inner wall treatment or easily cleanable structures to reduce the impact of water scale and oil scale accumulation on heat exchange efficiency and lower the maintenance frequency.

Pressure adaptability: The shell and pipeline design can withstand the working pressure of the compressor system (usually meeting the rated pressure standards of the model), ensuring safe operation.
