Dynamic pressure regulation
The variable frequency air compressor adjusts the motor speed in real time according to the demand at the gas-consuming end, while the variable frequency solenoid valve responds synchronously to the control system signals. By regulating the intake volume (such as controlling the opening degree of the intake valve) and the return oil volume, the system pressure is always maintained within the set range, avoiding pressure fluctuations caused by load variations.
Loading / Unloading Switching
When the gas demand changes, the solenoid valve receives instructions from the variable frequency controller and quickly switches the valve status:
When loading, the intake channel is opened to allow air to enter the compression chamber;
When unloading, the intake or venting channel is closed, reducing unnecessary power consumption.
Auxiliary control for oil-gas separation
In screw-type variable frequency air compressors, some solenoid valves are used to control the return oil flow of the oil-gas separator to ensure that the lubricating oil circulation matches the compression process, improving the efficiency of oil-gas separation.
Safety linkage
Linked with pressure sensors, temperature sensors, etc., when abnormal conditions such as overpressure or overtemperature occur in the system, the solenoid valve can quickly respond by cutting off the intake or opening the relief valve to protect equipment safety.
Structure and features
Fast response: Utilizing high-frequency electromagnetic drive, the valve switching time is short (usually in the millisecond range), capable of meeting the rapid speed regulation requirements of the variable frequency system.
Resistant to media: The valve body material is mostly copper or stainless steel, and the sealing components use oil-resistant and high-temperature-resistant rubber (such as nitrile rubber, fluororubber), capable of adapting to the working environment of oil-gas mixture in the air compressor.
Adaptability: Voltage specifications are mostly DC24V (compatible with the variable frequency controller), the interface size is designed according to the air compressor model to ensure a sealed connection with the pipeline system.
Low power consumption design: Some adopt energy-saving coils to reduce energy consumption during long-term power-on, consistent with the energy-saving concept of the variable frequency system.
Common faults and maintenance
Stuck or malfunctioning
Reasons: Oil and impurities in the compressed air adhere to the valve core or valve seat, causing the valve to fail to open or close normally; coil aging or loose wiring.
Treatment: Disassemble and clean the valve core and valve seat, remove impurities; check the resistance value of the coil (normally it should be within the nominal range), repair the wiring or replace the coil.
Leakage
Reasons: Sealing components wear out or age, or the sealing surfaces of the valve core and valve seat are scratched.
Treatment: Replace the oil-resistant sealing components, grind and repair the sealing surface (in severe cases, replace the valve body).
Response delay
Reasons: Unstable power supply voltage or fatigue of the internal spring in the valve body.
Treatment: Check the power supply line to ensure the voltage meets the requirements; replace the aged spring.
