Atlas Copco The air compressor water separator (also known as a compressed air dryer or water vapor separator) is a key device in the compressed air system used to remove and separate moisture and condensate in the compressed air. Its core function is to remove the water vapor generated during the compression process, preventing moisture from entering downstream equipment (such as pneumatic tools, pipelines, instruments, etc.) and causing corrosion, blockage or performance degradation.
The oil filter assembly of the air compressor is one of the key components that ensure the normal operation of the compressor. Its main function is to filter out impurities, metal particles, and sludge in the oil, preventing them from entering the critical friction components of the engine or the compressor (such as bearings, pistons, cylinders, etc.), thereby reducing wear, extending the equipment's lifespan, and ensuring the efficient operation of the lubrication system.
First separation: The oil-gas mixture containing various-sized oil droplets, which comes out from the exhaust port of the air compressor main unit, enters the oil-gas tank. Most of the oil in the oil-gas mixture falls to the bottom of the tank under the action of centrifugal force and gravity.
Second separation: The compressed air containing oil mist passes through the micrometer and fiberglass filter material layers of the oil-gas separation filter element for secondary separation. The oil particles undergo mechanisms such as diffusion, direct interception, and inertial collision aggregation, causing the suspended oil particles in the compressed air to quickly coalesce into large oil droplets. Under the action of gravity, the oil gathers at the bottom of the oil separation element and returns to the main lubricating oil system through the bottom concave area of the secondary return oil pipe inlet, thereby enabling the air compressor to discharge more pure and oil-free compressed air.
The air compressor pressure valve (also known as pressure control valve or pressure regulating valve) is a key component in the air compressor system used for controlling and regulating pressure. Its main function is to maintain the stability of pressure within the system, protect the safe operation of the equipment, and enable the automatic loading/unloading function of the air compressor.
The air compressor maintenance kit is a set of components designed to facilitate the maintenance and repair of air compressors. It usually includes wear parts, standard parts and specialized tools specific to a certain model or series of air compressors, which can simplify the maintenance process and ensure compatibility of the accessories.
Basic working principle
A three-phase induction motor generates a rotating magnetic field by connecting to three-phase alternating current and passing it through the stator windings. The rotor cuts the magnetic lines of force in the magnetic field, generating an induced current, which is then subjected to electromagnetic force and rotates in accordance with the magnetic field (the rotational speed is slightly lower than that of the rotating magnetic field, and there is a slip rate). The electrical energy is converted into mechanical energy to drive the compression mechanism of the air compressor (such as pistons, screws, etc.) to operate.
