This is an OEM part from Atlas Copco. When changing the separator element, it is also recommended to change the compressor oil, air filter and oil filter.
The separator filter removes oil from the airstream before the air is sent downstream. Changing the separator element on an annual basis will increase your energy efficiency by reducing the pressure drop across the oil tank. This separator prevents oil from getting into your downstream production equipment. This Atlas Copco separator element should be changed annually or every 4,000 hours, whichever occurs first.
