preventive measure
1. Correct selection
Based on the power of the air compressor and its load characteristics, select a coupling with a torque rating that is 1.5 to 2 times the actual load.
For high-temperature environments (>60℃), use high-temperature-resistant sealing rings (such as fluororubber) and synthetic lubricants.
2. Precise installation
The coaxiality error of the two shafts should be controlled within: radial ≤ 0.05mm, angular ≤ 0.5°.
Use a torque wrench to tighten the bolts according to the specified torque, and take anti-loosening measures (such as lock pins, thread sealants).
3. Regular maintenance
Lubrication management: Check the oil quality (viscosity, moisture, impurity content) every 2000 hours, and replace the lubricating oil annually.
Seal inspection: Check the sealing rings monthly. Replace them immediately if there is oil leakage.
Wear monitoring: Measure the tooth thickness every 5000 hours of operation. Repair or replace them in time if the wear exceeds the limit.
4. Optimize operating conditions
Avoid frequent start-stop of the air compressor (recommend a maximum of 3 times per day).
Install a vibration sensor near the coupling to monitor the vibration value (normal < 7.1mm/s).
Add a three-stage filter (primary + secondary + tertiary) at the air intake to reduce dust intrusion.
5. Material upgrade
For high-load conditions, use a coupling made of carburized steel (such as 20CrMnTi) with a tooth surface hardness of HRC58~62.
Replace the bolts with high-strength alloy structural steel of grade 8.8 or above.
